EEHSP Artist-in-Residence for Enfield, Textile Artist Gabrielle Kanter

Textile Artist, Gabrielle Kanter is coming to Enfield School as this year’s EEHSP Artist-in-Residence! Gabrielle will be teaching the students a centuries-old “wet felting” technique that has been used to make tents, clothes, artwork, and much more. Every student will create a unique design by layering different colors of loose wool and transforming them into a single piece of artwork.

Gabrielle’s project starts February 25th in the art room and she and art teacher, Mrs. Klein, are requesting volunteers to assist the kids with the process. We will be working with each class on different days over two weeks. Playground Committee Adult Social @ Magerk’s Pub!

Come join us for an evening of fun at the first EEHSP Adult Social on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 7-10pm at MaGerk’s in Fort Washington.

Included with each ticket is food, 2 drink tickets, entertainment and a donation to the new Springfield Township Elementary School Playground (Paper Mill Road and Montgomery Avenue). Tickets are still available online for $47 (plus processing fee) or will be $55.00 at the door. Buy early so all you have to do is come for the FUN! Bring a little cash for the 50/50 raffle.

The goal of the EEHSP Playground Committee is to raise additional funds for the extra additions to the new Springfield Township Elementary School playground.  We want this playground to not only be utilized during the school day by our district students, but as a fun meeting place for all community members in the evenings and weekends.

If you are unable to attend this event but would like to contribute to the new playground, please feel free to add a donation instead of purchasing a ticket using the same eventbrite registration page. If you have any questions, please email Rebecca DePasquale, or call (215) 356-5500.
