We are very excited for our African Bazaar. This curriculum event culminates the second grade’s study of Africa. The evening is geared towards second grade students. Families are encouraged to spend the evening together touring the displays in the gymnasium.
Children are encouraged to wear any kind of African attire. This can include: safari garb (think khaki and camouflage), any kind of animal print, and/or authentic African dress. This, of course, is completely optional.
The African Musical Performance: All second graders are expected to participate in this exciting, interactive presentation. During this time, second graders should gather near the stage to participate, while parents/families sit back and enjoy the show.
Please keep in mind, the entire second grade will be enjoying this event. In order to make it a pleasant, safe and meaningful experience, please keep your children with you. Your children have worked very hard researching, creating and preparing for this evening; join them in appreciating their fine work!
At the conclusion of the evening, upon your departure, please take all your child’s work home. This includes all paintings, artwork and research. Hope you enjoy the evening!
